Dr. Salam Jabbar
A leading figure in the Iraqi art scene and his works are held in a number of national and local museums. He has been a part of the Iraqi art movement since 1977 and continues to be a great contributor to the art world today. He is a highly respected figure in the field of plastic arts and continues to inspire students and colleagues alike.
Dr. Jabbar has a long and impressive career in the field of education and the arts. His work has been acclaimed by many of the great pioneers of Iraqi art. He received a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Plastic Arts/Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad in 2003, and a Master of Fine Arts/Painting from the same university in 1996. His Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing was from the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad in 1992. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology, and Hydrology from the Department of Geology, Faculty of Science at the University of Baghdad in 1981.
He has participated in hundreds of discussions of doctoral and master theses, research, and seminars, and has chaired and participated in many practical conferences.
He worked with the great pioneers of Iraqi art as a student, teacher, and colleague, and among the most prominent plastic Iraqi artists, present in Iraq and in the countries of the Diaspora.
