Our drawings

Drawing, like painting and printmaking, can be used to convey a social message and depict a certain reality.

Arte Arta wishes to celebrate all forms of art and the stories they evoke, and drawing is one of them.

Just like painting or collage, this type of art makes it possible to illustrate the subtleties of a multi-faceted environment from an aesthetic perspective.

Whether contemporary , abstract  or more realistic , we firmly believe that drawing is never dull. Beneath its stripped-down art appearance, there are often hidden treasures of inventiveness.

In fact, as you will see, many of our designers do not conceive drawing as being necessarily monochrome.

Rather, they enhance it with the help of other artistic mediums  such as:

  • Acrylic paint
  • Pastel pencils
  • Charcoal
  • Black ink
  • Digital illustration
  • Markers
  • Gold leaf
  • Chalk

In terms of artistic inspiration, the subjects likely to give rise to the creation of drawings are as diverse as they are numerous.

From animal drawing to figure drawing, this way of putting ideas on paper has notably served the genius of Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt van Rijn and Jean-Antoine Watteau.

Meet our draftsmen

Many of the draftsmen, or drawing artists, present on our platform like to diversify their way of creating.

Being very versatile, they do not hesitate to mix artistic styles  and materials  to create works that are intriguing, singular and symbolic all at once.

Here are the draftsmen who are part of the Arte Arta online gallery:

Although he is an incorrigible lover of mixed media, Zein also sometimes draws on paper with black ink. He tends to digitally model his works and set in motion other artistic vehicles such as acrylic painting on canvas.

This contemporary artist likes to explore the pivotal moments of life through her art.

She draws using acrylic paint, charcoal and oil stick on canvas or paper.
