A state of being not emotionally or mentally involved in the things of life. Detachment can also mean that we don’t identify ourselves with the ordinary things of life. We can be detached with love so that we can care enough about others to allow them to learn from their mistakes.
It also means being responsible for our own welfare and making decisions without the ulterior motives-the desire to control others.
